Rachel Merrill (Physics, ‘24) spent the summer at Rochester Institute of Technology as a part of their DIscipline-Based Education Research REU. She designed and implemented a project studying the manifestation of empathy in physics faculty’s interactions with their colleagues, students and mentees, and presented her findings at the university-wide research symposium on August 3.
